March has ended, and we are satisfied of the results we reached during this month.
We released our second album “Comorbidity” and our new video “Mens Rea”.
We take this opportunity to thank infinitely eMMeWieMutteR and the Sawing Machine, creators of the bondage performance that made this video so great and fascinating.
We saw them performing in a club in the last summer and we had no doubt: we had absolutely to work with them!
Their support was essential.
They created a sick opera and donated an impact in terms of aesthetic and emotions to our song.
So, thanks to these two great artists.
Of course we must also thank their partners Darkam and Corinna, as well as the great director Kosta Kalogiros.
Thank you guys, Effter loves you!
1.3.13: the release’s day of our second album has come!
Recorded and mixed in the summer of 2012, “Comorbidity” is a hymn to power, melody, drama, unrest.
A difficult work, extremely various, a meeting point of different musical approaches.
“Comorbidity” is quite far from the previous “Bilateral 602″, which was conceived as a minimal and direct album.
The new album is a complex work, in which we tried to pour every drop of our technical, compositive and creative skills, gained so far.
The lyrics are linked by a common thread, the only argument that since the beginning has united Effter:
criminal psychology, mental illness, from prodromes to delirium.
“Mens Rea” is one of the most complex song of the new upcoming album “Comorbidity”.
We’d like to share with you its dramatic and deep sound, hoping you can feel the same emotion we felt when we wrote it.
Then, listen to two new songs not included in the album:
“Melancholie”, so full of melody and impact and “Fragments”, a weird instrumental version of “Mens Rea”.
Enjoy!

Don’t you know how lucky we are, able to translate our suffering into music and art, instead of being their victims?
What a paradox, when the rare moments of serenity restrict our inspiration.
Because, as many poets have written in the past, “every masterpiece comes from great suffering.”
Without the presumption of assuming that we have written a masterpiece or that we could do it in the future, it’s a “joy” to have at least the same source of inspiration!
The darkness, the storm, loneliness, anxiety, tears and hatred.
All this translated into notes, melodies, or in chaos.
The sleepless nights spent reading and feeling the heart beating fast because we recognize ourselves into those verses, that other people in other times and places have written while suffering too.
To admire a painting that brought tears to the author, and watching it, cry the same tears.
And then, to have the hope and the ambition that, in other times and places someone, only one, will be moved by one of our works.
After several months of absence we are ready to come back on stage starting from the end of January;
then we won’t stop touring for the rest of the year.
2012 has been almost totally dedicated to create our new album “Comorbidity”, which contains eleven new songs.
We’ll release it on the first of March 2013. It will be preceded by a single and followed by a new videoclip.
Many other releases and surprises will come during the whole year so, stay tuned!
